Hi all, just wondering. When they send your passport back with the TRV, did you get a notification by e-mail beforehand, or do you just get the passport straight? Is it the same thing if they are denying TRV--any notification?

I've sent an application last week for TRV by mail here in Sydney, Australia. I've been nervous about whether I'm gonna get it, as my husband is a Canadian PR and we're applying for my PR with him as my sponsor; the sponsorship part has just been approved. In the TRV application, I was completely honest about our relationship and my intent to visit Canada (want to spend Christmas and New Year with my husband).

In case anyone's wondering, they don't notify by e-mail before sending the passport back, so don't bother checking every morning like I did. And I GOT MY TRV!!! It's not impossible to visit your spouse in Canada, folks. Good luck. :)
