hi,

i am done with medicals three weeks back. I had submitted proof of funds and security check last week. So, when can we expect the passport request from cic buffalo.

i just want to know do they re-check again the background declaration form after medicals bcoz i have done a mistake in background declaration form.

I realized that in the background declaration form, for question 9 "been refused status in, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa or visitor or TRV to canada or any other country" I answered NO. but I got rejection for UK study visa 6 years back.

Ur inputs are highly appreciated.

Yes. Security checks may continue even after the medical.

dear tito_cse, you are saying he should not worry, someone concealed an information which could lead to a 2year ban due
to misrepresentation and you are saying he should not worry. Background check can be done at any stage during the application process.
If the cic discovers any element of lie even after the issuance of PR visa they can remove him from canada and ban him. Like i said before, being rejected a u.k student visa is not a big deal at all. It is only a big deal if the person was rejected a uk student visa on a criminal ground so why hiding this information? It is never too late, a cover letter explaining to CIC the uk student visa rejection and admitting that you misunderstood the question initially will do the job. Simple. cic will understand but if you say there is no problem even your own conscience will not be clear. my 2pence worth for you.
