Hello to all........I belong to Pakistan and am applying under FSW but do not have a birth certificate as I was born abroad and unforunately I will not be able to get that certificate....It has never been a problem for me because ID card and passport show it but can the senior members advise what can be done as I read they ask for a birth certificate.

IF u were born out of PAK then u can contact the consulate / embassey of that country in ur current place .. are u citizen of PAK or the country u were born ?

I am sure u will be able to get some help once u contact office responsible?

If not write a detailed letter to CIC and send max doc which proves ur DOB, u may want to get affidavite for ur date of birth ?

Good luck, I know it is not easy just give try.

PMM/rupeshhari may suggest some way out ??

two questions;

1. what is your current country of residence? Pakistan or ....?
2. if you live in a country other than pakistan, which CHC Office you are considering for sending your application? ... CHC Islamabad or the CHC in that country?

provide the answers to the above questions and we will advise accordingly.

hi there

i am facing the same problem as well. I have passport and Identity card that reflects the place and date of my birth place but i have lost my birth certificate, cause having lived and travelled and move to too many countries and cities (from studies to work).  How can i handle such a situation at the interview or at the local office then.

Thanks

I suppose if you can prove your DoB through any other doc like mark sheet, or school certificate etc it should be fine.

Thankyou to all of you who have replied.

To answer some of the questions which you have put forward.
1. I was born in Iran during the revolution.
 2. I am a citizen of Pakistan and reside here so I will send it to the Islamabad office after the clearance from Sydney.
3. The state of security (heightened) and the time involved in approaching consulate plus the thought that they may ask me to take up my right of citizenship stops me from going to the embassy. I'll just save myself from that hassle.

Will await your replies.
