Dear All,

Just curious to know do Linked In recommendations play any role while searching for a job in canada. How much important these can be? How many recommendations can work ?

God bless you all.

Thanks for reply Zulkfal.

What I am trying to say here is, I have Linkedin account with few recommendations from my managers (from India, US, Aus, UK and other countries). While searching job in Canada can these recommendations help me in any way.

Thank you.

i don't think so, majority of firms for professional jobs do background checks and would like to call previous employers.

This is not related to employment verification but professional reference check. Just to know what your manager/peers say about you.

In this case I am wondering why people use Linkedin so much if it does not work in american countries. This concept basically came from there only.

More networks, more connections, more experience always help. The question is to what extent. I believe they help. at least a minimum.
