Do I send original FBI report or copy?

I forgot to send along the FBI report.  Do I need to send the original or a copy.

I have already sent my file, what info do I send along with it?

You MUST send the original.  If you copy or scan the FBI report, the copy will have the words "Unauthorized Copy" on the face of it. (My husband received mine for me, and scanned and emailed it to me for my records, and that's what it said on the scan copy).

If you have your file number, you need to put that number prominently on the envelope you enclose it in for sending, along with your name and DOB.

They will eventually want the original. Call the call center and inform them that you have the original FBI cert and you want to know where to send it. I did this myself after I recieved my FBI cert and they had me fax them a copy of it to include in my file. Then when I had my interview in Buffalo I was asked to supply the original. I would NOT just send it and risk it getting lost, wait for instructions from the call center.
