Do I need to update application

Dear friends
I applied to FSW, CIO, NS in May 2009. Now I am sending Full Application to CHC New Delhi in Oct 2009. Dates mentioned in the Application Forms earlier mentioned are upto May 2009. I think these dates need to be changed to Oct 2009 (even if there is no change in my occupation, residence place etc.). Is this change needs some explanation or simply the word that forms have been updated is sufficient?
