Hi
Thanks for correcting me PMM. Will you explain further? A person can still legally work when they become out of PR status?
As long as Permanent Resident maintains their PR status in that they have resided in Canada for 2 years in every 5, they are a Permanent Resident. There is no requirement in law that they have a valid PR card, all it is, is proof that they are/were permanent residents. If they are reported by CBSA as no longer being a permanent resident, ie insufficient residency, criminality and are ordered removed from Canada, they can no longer work in Canada.
