Do I need LMO clearance?

Hi,
I worked here in canada on 'Computer programmers' work permit for last 2 years. I am not sure whether my company has applied for LMO/HRSDC or not. Now as I am applying for new WP by my self after layoff, can I expect WP without LMO/HRSDC approval? my designation does not very clearly says that it is a Computer Programmers post.
please suggest!

Your previous company probably didn't have an LMO, check your work permit for the NOC code if it is  9990.1 to 9990.7 then no LMO.  You need an employer to apply for a work permit you know.
