Hello All,

Has anyone recently gone through the MEDICAL TEST in Toronto downtown area? Please, share your experiences. I'm looking for a good DMP who sends the result quick. My friend recommended me to go to Richard Chan; but he is on vacation (I called him). I found from this forum that Dr. Luis Carreno-Segura is very good too. Is it?

Please, post now. I would like to book an appointment by today.  Smiley

C'mon guys. Need some help here!

I've been trying to reach Dr. Luis Carreno-Segura with his contact no: 416-239-1486; but it either rings or seems busy. But noone picks it up. Is the number ok? I found another number for him from ontariodoctordirectory 416-925-7434. Does anyone know anything about it?

Has anyone dealt with Dr. John A.B. Nazareth recently? How is he? I want to know whom to avoid...

FYI, Dr. Luis Carreno-Segura probably works only Monday to Wednesday (9am - 1pm) Shocked. And that's it, hence I missed to book an appointment with him  Sad

Does it matters which doctor? Just worried , cos we have only 2 doctors here in Saskatoon.. Do you think they will delay posting the results...?? Is there anyway we can get any info from medical centre about whether they sent it or when they sent it?

I'm little worried coz I'm out of shape Grin. But my medical tests are normally good (which I do every year when I go back home).

You can ask for the tracking number from DMP. I will. I booked an appointment and the receptionist told me they would need 2 weeks to send it to Ottawa. Generally, they say 7~10 business days I heard. So, that's probably fair.

OK, I've finally done my medical test with Dr. Vicente Pinilla. He is old and seems kind. He asks you everything; never bothers to test/verify. He only checked my blood pressure.

After the appointment with the DMP, I was sent to basement for X-Ray, blood and urine test. X-Ray is done at one end of the basement and the rest is at the other end. And there is long waiting time for each too. If you play smart and enrol yourelf in both places; you may save some time. There was a cue in everything; but the people were good (I must say).

My appointment was at 10 am; but I got in at 10:40. I got out of the medical centre around 12:40pm (almost 3 hours).

Hi Rossei

Thanks for sharing your experience in details, you are an excellent forum contributor and helping us all by sharing valuable information. Really appreciate....

Just a question regarding the medical test. I know you have to fill up a form and mention if u have done any medical test before. We, who came to Canada as student/worker, have done our medical test in the home country once before getting our initial visa. I am wondering, do you have to mention anything about that test during this time? Like when it was done, where, under what doctor and so on. Is there any question in the medical form that ask you these information for previous medical test? Is there any reference to this and previous one?

Also by any chance do u have a Ontario health card? As you know, work permit holders can get OHIP temporarily. If you have one, you already have a medical history in Canada. Wondering if the doctor ask you any question about that and somehow link your medical record/OHIP card to the current test? Did you show your health card to them during the test?

Please share your knowledge and experience once again Smiley God bless you my friend, wish you all the very best!

Thanks for your delightful comments.

I was never asked about the initial medical test that I had to take before coming to Canada as a student. And I believe that there is no such question. Basically, you will receive Section A (IMM-1017) of the medical form which will have your picture attached. The DMP will have the rest of Section B through E (IMM-5419). I've already mentioned these somewhere I guess. I can give you the CIC link for all these so that you can go through the questions:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/dmp-handbook/appendix-02.asp

Coming to your second question, I do have my OHIP card. But fortunately/unfortunately, I never had to use it. Nor did the doctor/radiographer ask. I even paid the dues in cash from my pocket. I heard you can pay some/full of it with your OHIP. I'm not sure though.

Again, thanks for your wishes.

There are 3 DMP's at the same location. And you have only 2 DMP's in whole Saskatoon. Obviously, the price will rise where there is no competition.

Thanks Rossei. So did you get the tracking number from them already? I mean how are going to make sure they have sent the test result to Ottawa and when?

Do you have to go for testing in fasting condition in the morning or you can take breakfast before going?

Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone is enjoying the hot summer; I was away on a vacation...its nice  to see everyone still active on this board. I Have few questions for everyone on the board. I have  a medical appointment next week on august 11th.

1. do we need to take any passport size pictures?
2. I am alittle paranoid with my wife's medicals-
She has changed her family name to my my family name after marriage. When we applied for immigration like 7 months ago, we provided her family name (not mine) based on her old passport information. Now, conditions have changed....her old passport with previous name on it has expired. She currently hold a new passport with her name changed (using my family name).........1. She still possesses her old passport ---2. Her new passport has a section where it mentions her previous passport number as well.

Question:
Her medical forms from buffalo has her previous name with expired passport # and info.......Do you guys think the doctor will proceed with the medicals given the fact that her name and passport both has changed.....I will carry her old passport for proof and the new passport even has a section where it mentions about her expired passport number....
I had emailed buffalo about her name change, but as we all know how screwed up buffalo is!...

Any Yes guys mediclas is expensive in SK; the receptionsist told  me that it was gonna be some 300+ (dont remember the exact sum).....
