Dear all,

It seems like the CIO and VO are giving high preference to the Post 26June applicants under 29 occupation list (as per todays case, they are already having the medical and passport request). I am wondering if someone, like me, who have applied as pre 26 June applicant at CIO, but having his/her occupation list under 29 NOC list, and have sent full documents to VO will be treated differently.

My question here is IF THERE IS THE HIGH DEMAND FOR THOSE 29 OCCUPATIONS, why should we NOT be included like those of post 26 june applications, and why NOT the process of our application should be as fast as them???

Any comments and discussions are highly appreciated.

You made a valid point. No one knows for sure why this happens. It looks like CIC and VO's deal with each set of applicants as per the laws active thereof. They don't want to mix applications. I feel that even officers themselves might be divided to handle cases in that manner as well.

You are absolutely lucky to have your NOC still listed on post 26 June. If you have the time, effort, money and appetite to file new application rather than waiting, then you should consider it. I don't know.

What I know for sure that fast track is not fast anymore.

Cheers

Its now our turn to be part of slow processing like pre Feb-2008 applicants.

Think of pre Feb-2008 applicants who have applied and still waiting now for visa. They were affected by fast track application from Mar-2008 applications who got the visas also and settled in canada.

But still we are on safer side that we don't need to wait for years and years like pre Feb-2008 applicants (I hope so).

Yes I'm afraid we have a 2nd backlog now (pre Jun-2010), but this time the one thing that may save us (compared to pre feb-2008) is the "cap". However come July 2011 there may be a new list and will there be a third backlog (those that may get dropped off from the 29 list)?

I'm not sure whether we are really safer. London VO estimated 8-12 months to get visa issued. Then, on 22 Oct 2010, the stattistics unveiled that average time for London is 13 months. Now, I'm sure it is crossing this average as from what trackitt shows, as well mine, that a new record is going to be set.

Really frustrating!

buddy,

Think of 2007, 2005, 2008 applicants whose average processing time ranges from 36 months to 72 months.

Even if you take 15 months, it is better than others dear.

hi all,

thanks a lot for the comments.
it doesn't really seem like the pre26june are, now, put as backlogs. yeh, it's the bitter truth that the processing time is very much slow as compared to past.

lets hope for the best.

lamhey

followings are the discussion made in june applicants thread.

We couple, specialist physicians (highly demanded noc ,yet 1000 cap not filledup in post26june)with  72 POINTS under FSW1 had applied to CIO on 5th may2010 and got second AOR from newdelhi visaoffice , dated 18 november2010 (processing time 8 months mentioned in the AOR letter) should get medicals and PPR  withinn prescribed time limit otherwise our PCC will expire and they may demand anotherone.so visaoffices should  follow the AOR letter timelimit.lets wait and see. They sholdnt give priority to others  in this matter and delay the agreed processing time.

One of New Delhi applicant who applied in the month of September at CIO has received medical request and many more who have sent their complete docs in the month of May-June at new Delhi VO are waiting and in addition to evidence for priority to post june applicants...One applicant who has two applications one is pre june and second is post june, VO called her up to tell that she should withdraw her pre june application as new one will get priority.
As far as pre feb 2008 applicants are concerned they have applied in existed processing time and are very much aware with time-span.but <J26 and >J26 both are in fast track and in existed demand list occupations so they should treat them equally... For example you have applied in NOC which is in canada's labour market demand list in the last june wat if they keep your app on hold just because now they have got new demand list ...
Will you call this process fair ?

If filing a new application now - after another lengthy document gathering process you would have to wait 4 months at CIO for final eligibility review to be completed, then probably at least 2 months for the file to be transferred to the visa office and for the visa office to look at it (bare in mind currently only 6 visa offices have been reported to have sent 2nd AORs or meds for >J26 applications, the rest haven't even started looking at them yet).

Yes fast track has slowed down, but this is the case for all applicants, >J26 as well.

Our application has been with CIC for over 6 months and we haven't seen a sniff of a 2nd AOR yet, nor has anyone from London. I think <J26 and >J26 will be looking at similar overall timelines if you include the document-gathering which >J26 had to perform prior to applying.

Yes it is, and I feel great sympathy for <Feb 2008 applicants who have to endure more waiting.

But if there is a cloud to the silver lining it is that they still have a "foot in the door" in the FSW process that is now unavailable to anyone who does not have experience in one of the 29 occupations (or a job offer). Anyone in the backlog can still secure a job offer or apply with 29-list experience if they want to fast track.

Although perhaps it should now be called "medium track" Wink

Hi to All,

Can anyone help me plz! I am confused whether I am accepted for fast track or Not?

My application history:
I applied to CIO sydney on April 27,2010 in FSW for 0213 Com&Info Sys Mangr but I am working as Sr.IS-IT Officer. I got reply on from CIO on July 28,2010 specifying a recommendation to send all the required supporting docs to London Visa Office in 120 days. I sent all the docs with in time. When 4 months have passed after 120days deadline, I sent an Enquiry email to london UK for my application status. they sent an acknowlegment from London Visa office for receiving my Full Application package but no further explaination.

Question:
Please, can anyone tell me that am I accepted for Fast Track or not? My job responsibilities written in my Office HR recommendation Letter are same as Comp.& IS Mangrs NOC 0213 but my job title in my Office letter is Sr. IS-IT Officer. Will they consider me?

Regards,

Cheers.

lamhey

Well first I suggest analysing "as fast as them", shall we? Smiley

Sure, offices like New Delhi are working fast. But then the process is totally different. You guys have to have a full eligibility review at visa office, once they get your supporting documents. For post-June-26 applicants this has already been done by CIO and they go straight to background/security/medicals stage, I think behind any pre-June-26 applicants who are already at that stage.

Currently not a single post-June-26 applicant from London has even received a 2nd AOR, let alone a med request, yet pre-June-26 seem to be getting PPRs and med requests. So I am certain that post-June-26 are not getting some magical priority. But it is very hard to directly compare timelines of applicants who are on different processes, as you seem to be doing. CIC introduced the new system post-June-26 of sending all documents to CIO for eligiblity review to save time at visa office - and you somehow seem angry that (at least for some visa offices) it's actually working?

And please remember post-June-26 applicants had to wait around 2 months gathering documents before they could even apply. You had the luxury of being able to apply almost instantly having completed all the forms.

my comment on this is that the Nova Scotia processing seems to be the fast track but once it's been transferred to the VO of your country it doesn't fall under the fast track anymore. Our batch have been waiting for almost 180 days since VO receipt of the the full docs for MR. but, still our ecas states the same, RVO until now. Just hoping that all of the required docs submitted  won't expire with  the processing delay. Pray for the best. Wishing us luck!
