Hi,

I am filling out the application to sponsor my husband to Canada while living abroad with him (I am a Canadian citizen but currently living and working abroad).

On the Sponsorship Evaluation form IMM 5481 it asks for Employer information and income for last 12 months.  Thats all ok as I can provide this info and my last year tax assessment (not Canadian though).

I am wondering however, if I have to disclose any amount I have on a credit card or in a bank loan?  I can't find such a request on any of the application forms.  But am wondering if I don't disclose it will be taken as omission or misrepresentation?

Could someone comment on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

There is nothing on the application form requesting any information regarding your debts or anything like that.  They are simply asking about employment income.  Remember, you can be unemployed and still be approved.
