Sad :(Recently I attempted academic IELTS module but disappointed result in writing (only 6). (Others: Listening 8, Reading 8.5, Speaking 7)
I need to achieve 7 before I could apply job in Canada.
I bought several IELTS books for revision and downloaded Dr Hasib's advice for examination but still failed to achieve 7.
Anyone would like to share with his/her experience especially in academic writing? Sad
Many thanks!

bro in order to apply for job
u need to clear the general module. not the academic one,
academic one is for if u  r applying for study permit ,
and writng task is always difficult, no one easily scores more then 6.5 /7
u had scored 6 thats sufficent

According to my organization, I need academic rather general for working permit.
For reading, I scan the questions first and then go back to the paragraph. I read a lot of scientific papers because of my career and hence, IELTS reading session is relatively easy for me (I got 9 last time). Unfortunately, my writing is poor because most of the time, I write scientific paper rather argumentative mode. Now I'm stucked in IELTS before I can get a job in Canada.  Embarrassed
Any suggestion is highly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi, I coach people in IELTS - if you send me an example of an IELTS writing task 1 and task 2 you did, I'll review it and tell you what your problem is.
