Hello every one.

Is there a difference in time frames between applicants who are intending to move to Quebec and applicants intending to move the rest of Canada.

Thanks.

Not a significant difference.  You must apply for the CSQ after sponsorship is approved.  Sometimes that can add and extra 4 to 6 weeks.

Well, getting the CSQ after sponsorship takes about 3 weeks or so, so there might be a slightly delay while waiting on that. Other than that, I think the timing is supposedly about the same, but I wonder about it myself since a number of people on here who are applying to Québec seem to have longer waiting times than average.

usually 1 more month - the CSQ process...

once the sponsor is approved Missisauga sends the package to the visa office and u need to fill some extra forms for Quebec; i'm also curious to know: will the visa office wait for the CSQ and then start the process or start the process and whenever the CSQ will b received they will add it to the file? have u ever heard of cases where the CSQ was rejected?  Shocked

for some it could take longer because MICC should send the CSQ to the VO but sometimes they don't...also the VO will not ask the applicant for it and so the delay...once u have the CSQ it's better to follow-up urself with the VO to make sure that they have it too

you sure we have to forward it  Tongue

i love being sarcastic.  considering my wife case it is absolutely necessary that you mail and fax it yourself and yes both just to be sure.  We lost 7 month because they "never received it"

We too assumed they would just forward it because the confirmation letter included with my CSQ said this would happen... But low and behold, when they were finalizing our application, they requested it!

I emailed them a scanned copy of the CSQ and it was accepted in less than 24 hours.

They are "supposed" to send it.  But err on the side of caution and send it yourself too!
