dear all,

as per my understanding the following is the difference between "Skilled workers and professionals" category and "Quebec-selected skilled workers" category.

"Skilled workers and professionals" category is a federal program, which means my occupation has to be on the current priority occupations list or I should have an offer of employment to be eligible to migrate.

"Quebec-selected skilled workers" category has no such conditions.

If the above is correct, since I do not have an offer of employment and my occupation is not listed in the current priority occupations list, my only option is to migrate under the "Quebec-selected skilled workers" category.

Please corect me if I am wrong.

Take the evaluation to see if you qualify for Quebec.  http://www.form.services.micc.gouv.qc.ca/epi/index.jsp?languageCode=en

Yes, I took the evaluation and it shows that I meet the Québec selection criteria eventhough I and my spouse do not know French. Should I proceed and apply?

Your choice, but with no French, acceptance is pretty iffy.

In case my application is rejected, will the fees be refunded?

I am not much sure but I have heard that it is necessary to appoint an attorney for Quebec programme, whereas in FSW anyone can apply by his or her own initiative? Pls correct me if I am wrong? I am preparing myself for French language to apply in Quebec programme.

thnx
