Didn't Keep Passport

Please can anyone help me? My husband had his interview today and they did not keep his passport. They said he would hear from them in two weeks.  Is this bad news? My heart feels broken and I am scared. I thought that they would have told him if he was approved right away and keep his passport.  PLEASE CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THIS HAS HAPPENED TO THEM AND THE END RESULT WAS APPROVED?   THANK YOU

hi dont worry its normal in some cases but iwant u know how was the inteview what they ask him about what excatly happened and how long u been with your husband before you marry him imean since you met him until u married with him how long was this period or time

We met in Feb online and I married him in July. They asked him questions like where do I work, do we want kids, how long I have been muslim ect.... Have you heard of this happening to other people they have the interview and do not take the passport at the same time?

yes its ok its normal question but they interviewed him bcz you must staying atleast 6 months with him before you married to him that i figure out bcz ihad friend he didnt put alot of papers and proves just very simple and some pics and they didnt interview him they just asked him to send his passport bcz he and his wife took longer than year before meet in person and get married so did your husband give them more proves about his realationship with you since he applied so he can prove that his realationship with you is genuine and continue like if u visited him the tickets stamped visa in your passport showing u came here or letters between u and him mails and email any kind of communication
if he didnt i suggest if you feel very worried and ithink u wronge but  for more sure he can send them in mail to embassy those things and proofs that proves your realationship with him and he must send them as soon as he can and good luck send him in DHL and write his name and all his information and small letter explaine to them

you mean you met in Feb 2011  and you married in July2011 and then u applied also in July 2011 oh wowow so much rash thats why they didnt ask him for passport but dont worry you will took little longer

He gave them lots of proof emails skype msn and lots of pics. We talk every day. I find that our processing time has been great it has only been 7 months and he got an interview.  I just pray that everything is ok.

oh woow that is very good so dont worry many people whose been through same sitution as u and they got approved  i was wondering if he gave them those proof in interview or before it

We gave them lots of proof with our application and then my husband gave them more proof at the interview of our relationship since we were married. This process is so stressful and frustrating.

dont worry u must be thankful bcz many poeple here staying for more than year until they asked them for interview do u remember fox in cairo visa office and you didnt take more than 7 months oh wow so it will take u more few weeks then they will contact you to send passport and then landing

hi bondar  i had  interview  the  17 of jannery  and  the  visa officer  was good  with me  and  she  say  evry thing  is  good  and  she  will give  me  the  visa  but  she  dont  keep my passport  she  just  look at  it and  she  give  to me  the  same  time  she  say keep it  and  we  will call you soon  to come  take  your  visa so  you dont  have  to worri evry thing  will be  ok inchallah...the  visa  officer  dont  say  if  they aprove  your  husband  or  no?and  what is your  visa office  ??mine  is paris

Hi our office is cairo. They did not say if he got the visa or not just that he would hear in 2 weeks.

its  ok i think if  they will denied  your  husband  they would  tell him  in  the  same  time so  no reason to worri  you need  just to relax  and  weiting

It's incorrect to say that if the PR applicant were refused, he or she would know immediately after being interviewed. I personally have never heard of it happening that way and I doubt they would choose to reject a PA while he or she was physically at the embassy for the interview. In addition, the sponsor is always informed in the event of a refusal as only the sponsor has the right to appeal on behalf of the applicant.

Sometimes a visa officer will indicate his/her decision immediately following the interview to the applicant.  But it is not universal, nor is it consistent from visa office to visa office or even officer to officer.  Don't rely on your own experience to indicate someone else's, or someone else's to inform your own.
