Heyy chill...37.5x 12 =1950...!!!....

The one-year work requirement (graduate stream) means you must work
1) a minimum of 12 months (52 weeks) AND
2) a minimum of 1950 hours (52 weeks at 37.5 hours per week).

It still says "or full-time equivalent" so part-time work experience is still accepted.  The problem was a lot of people saw "1950 hours" and thought that if they worked 1950 hours, they didn't have to work the full year.  I don't know HOW they came to that conclusion, but they did...

But it will be harder now for those who don't work a minimum of 37.5 hours to figure out how to calculate the time they need to work...

But I think it's still safe to assume who has worked a full one year and 37.5 hrs per week who completed at least 37.5x 12 =1950hrs or more will qualify. Basically, people need to make sure first that they finished one year work experience and then determine the hours. And for others who works part time should use it as a guideline and make sure to complete at least the 1950hrs within however duration of timeframe (assuming at least more than one year or more).

yeah. i am in the same shoe. sometimes i work part-time and sometime full time in a week.. take for instance, last week, i worked 7 days  and the week before, i worked 6 days but since this week, i havent get any call to work ( havent work at all). it's hard for me to calculate hours worked per week and this issue have been eating me up for the past years

I'd suggest keep track of your hours with help of your payroll administrator/hr personnel and make sure to finish around 2000hrs before you submit your application. Make sure to submit all your pay stubs/NOA from CRA/if possible a letter from hr stating that XYZ has completed #### number of hrs from XX date to XX Date. Just a suggestion.

Guys i think you need to make sure you have a total of at least 3900 and not 2000 hours before you submit the application + the 24 months overlapping period of employment.

37.5 Hrs * 52 (weeks in one year) = 1950 * 2 = 3900

CEC needs 2 years experience for temporary foreign worker in past 3 years or 1 year experience for foreign graduate in past 2 years upon sending application.

it's 1950hrs for graduate stream (int'l students with a canadian degree) and 3900hrs for foreigh workers. rounded off to 2000hrs because ujbaby is concerned about meeting the required hrs as he works part time. So, it's definitely better to have more hrs than required than having less and not meet the eligibility.
