Detroit office application- Completed

Hello Friends,

I have completed my medicals in May but no progress after that. When ever I ask they say case is ready for finalization

I need to go to Canada urgently..so I went to apply for visitor VISA. At that time I inquired about my PR application.

the officer took my file number and checked CAIPS system.
Then he asked why I am applying for visitor VISA when they are ready to give PR VISA.
So he took the passports and returned visitor visa application and money.
Collected passports with PR visa in the afternoon.

So finally this wait is over.

My application timeline:

Initial Application NS Sydney: May 2009
Complete documents to buffalo: September 2009
AOR from Buffalo : October 2009
File Transfer to Detroit: April 2010
Medical Request/medical completed: May 2010
Passports stamped: Aug 2010.
No PPR

Iam pretty  much in the same situation as yours,i recently got transffered from buffalo to detroit,and no progress after that,
when you got the information about the transfer how long did it take for medical request after that,also when did it exactly showed you that you are in process,
because mines even after the the transfer and still week passed ,it is still recieved by visa office..so is this normal..

you should get your medical request any time..

I got my medicals after 10days of transfer. don't bother about the ECAS status..it is not properly updated.

I got my visa but it still shows in process!

Iam really hoping for that..i don't know much about detroit office.
It's been more than 10 days ofcourse after the transfer,but nothing out yet.
so let's see.
out of all this..just a curious question,,i know it sounds pretty shaky at this stage...
but do you think they did confirmed that we do posses enough points to qualify for p.r after reaching this stage...
because honestly iam still worried about my points and minimum elgibilty,but reaching upto this stage does it acknowledge anything??

I'm new in this forum. But It seem that those who completed medicals in May are starting to get visa stamped. To get my medicals was very quickly, just 2 weeks after in process. I did the medicals in July and they haven't send any email yet. Also, it is not showed Medicals Received. How long to be posted on e-cas?

After you did medicals how soon you got any email from Detroit? Did they send any email saying that they are ready to finish your case or just the one to request passport?

Please if you can share what to expect after medicals done...

Did you receive medicals yet? I am in similar situation. File transfered to Detroit on Aug 3rd. In process from Aug 18th. Have not got anything yet. Please share if you have anything new.
