DETRIOT OFFICE APPLICATIONS

I had sent an email to Detroit last week to inform them about a change in contact info. Got an email from them yesterday stating the "the information has been printed and added to the file for the review".

This means they haven't done the review as yet - let alone beginning processing and medical request and so on. I was under the impression that only the files which had been reviewed by Buffalo were sent to satellite visa offices like Detroit. Now it seems that Buffalo didn't even do the review of the file, they just transferred it to Detroit. Some will review it again in Detroit before it can be processed. This seems like an awful lot of "back and forth" for nothing.

Hopefully I don't have to wait another six months before finding out its ineligible for processing. This is getting on my nerve now.

Guys any update from anyone in DETRIOT OFFICE? Any change in change in status, interview request, ME, etc? Detriot seem to be dead silent.

I haven't heard a peep from them since April.

Only God knows what is going on at Detriot Office. They have been so quiet these days

Our time line:

1. Applied for PNP on 04/01/2010
2. PNP approved on 22/01/2010
3. Received approved PNP pack and certificate back from St. John's on 07/02/2010
4. Sent application and nomination for PR to Buffalo on 08/02/2010
5. Application received by Buffalo on 24/02/2010
6. Received request for medicals on 21/07/2010
7. Completed medicals on 13/08/2010
8. Received an email from Buffalo on 19/10/2010 advising that our file has been transfered to Detroit to expedite the processing of our 
    application

Since then, no word from Detroit. We just hope that the saying "no news is good news", is true in our case.

2nd AOR - October 13, 2010
file transferred to Detroit - Oct. 26, 2010

Hi Guys,

I applied originally through the Buffalo office and my file was transferred to Detroit. You can see my timeline here (left). We just received our visas !!!!

we also received our medical requests today Nov. 23. our file has been transferred from Buffalo to Detroit on Oct. 26, 2010. Detroit visa office is really moving!
