detained in 2008 ,,

I  WAS  DETAINED  IN  2008   FOR   QUESTIONING ,,,  AND WAS  RELEASED   WITHOUT CHARGE ,,
I APPLIED FOR POLICE  CERTIFICATE  IN 2010,, AND WAS GIVEN  AND  IT   STATED  NO ADVERSE  RECORD  OF  ANY CRIME ,,
NOW  THE EMBASSY  IS   DOING A  BACKGROUND  CHECK ,,
MY BACKGROUND  CHECK IS  BEEN DONE AS  I SPEAK,,, SHOULD I BE WORRIED,,?
AND  HOW LONG  DOES  SUCH  BACKGROUND CHECKS  TAKE ?

You shouldn't be worried as long as you informed them on the application.  If you answered YES with explanation for question 9 schedule 1 "have you ever been detained or jailed" then you should have no problems.

thanks ,,,   do you   know , how long  it  takes  to  get the    background   check after  interview   is done ?
i did  my interview   dec  8 ,, and  i was told that  they are in the  final  stage

I have no idea.  Every visa office is different as is every applicant .
