Hi,

A work permit is generally issued on the basis of an intention to work in a specific position and for a specific employer.

You should get a new work permit, before the expiry of your current work permit,  in order  work with a different employer.

That employer must take the following steps before applying for a Canadian Work Visa:

    * Your employer must first confirm your position is suitable to apply for a Canadian Work Permit by making an application to Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC)

    * Your employer must then offer you the confirmed position

    * Your employer must then make an application to Citizenship and Immigration Canada for a Work Permit for Canada.

A temporary foreign worker with at least two years of full-time (or equivalent) skilled work experience in Canada is eligible to apply for PR in Canadian Experience Class category.
