Dear friends, why can advice in this situation?
My husband was born in a country A, and he has birth certificate from this country. His family left A and came to live in country B, when he was very young.  But he is the citizen of a country B (and never been A citizen). When he received his first passport, they wrote in the passport he was born in a country C, by mistake! But he never paid attention to this, and every new passport, they did not ask any birth certificate, and just transfer the same information to new passport.
Now in all his documents, like education certificates, ID, etc... stated that he was born in C, except the birth certificate!
Now, when we started immigration process to Canada, this discrepancy appear, and we don't know what to do. To try to change his passport, and other documents.... it's very very long story!
We have to do either:
1. To submit the documents as it is, and attach letter, explaining this discrepancy. or
2. Do not submit the birth certificate, explaining that it's lost ( We are not ok with this way... but what to do?)
3. To try to change all documents, where is mistake, this will cost us a huge amount of time and money...
We are in despair... Please advice. Sad

Hi Fortune Sad

Sounds not so easy for any fast solution. Your husband or his parents have ignored such a great mistake in the beginning and  continued for several years affecting  all his important documents. Now in a later stage rectifying  the mistake will be very difficult and time consuming. Moreover  three countries (A,B and C ) are involved in the documentation. However, I would suggest my  opinion that he may  discuss this matter with any reputed Immigration consultant and seek his advice how to  proceed further to rectify the irregularities. Good luck!!

Thanks, wilson! But we have no any emigration consultant in our area. Even there is no Canadian Council. Where could we found one emigration consultant?

If your documents are ready and your NOC number of applications received is increasing slowly I'd say file your package as it is with explanation letter and supporting documents and see what happens. Thus, you will have enough time to rectify or re-submit if the CIO rejects your application.

Our documents are not yet ready at the moment, the NOC 0631, Restaurant and Food Service Managers, and there are 60 application received, I can not estimate, will the gap be reached quickly or no...
Anyway, jmora, thank you for reply!
Does anyone know any immigration consultant, whom I can contact by mail?

If you can be more precise with the countries then it will be easier to give some possible solution..... Smiley
How did the Passport Office of Country B put a country C as place of birth without any proof provided for the same?

Ok, my husband was born in Uganda, they also have many relatives in Kenya. When the family moved to live in Yemen, and my husband received his first passport, Yemeni passport, there was also one relative from Kenya, who helped with documents, but he wrote the wrong place of birth- Kenya. Up to now no one ask the original or copy of birth certificate when they issue new passports, they just transfer the information, that's it.

My husband started the procedure of changing the documents, oh, I don't know how long will it take...
Beside, I will try to contact David Cohen.

From the beginning I expect that "B" is my country "Yemen", it is the only country in the world having this kind of poor documentation, me too I have similar story, but with my date of birth, every doc & certificate have a different DOB, now I am in a mess I don't know how it will affect my application.
Is there any one has similar problem and get any problem in his application?
