Desperate, Help Pls !

Please I am desperate with this immigration processes, I applied since Feb 07, got my AOR April 07 and had my interview June 07, the Immigration officer told me after the interview that they will go on investigation which I presume to be background check, since then I´ve not had from them. My wife called them November 2007 through her area MP and they told her that she´ll hear from them before the end of February 2008. please I want to know if what they said, that she´ll hear from them is realistic or one of their pranks so stop you from calling them

You really need to let them do their jobs.  It states right on the CIC website that contacting them for frequent updates will cause processing of your application to take longer.
