i think it might be a rocky road for dentists in Canada.

dentistry in Canada is a regulated profession. any foreign trained dentists (except US) will have to sit for initial exam to be eligible to study for 2 years(!) in a Canadian college/ uni, then sit the main exam(!) after 2 years & then if we pass we can work as dentist.

a very very time consuming & painstaking procedure........

Where are you?? What happened to your IELTS result. You got almost hibernated. Hope everything is fine at your end. When are you finally applying for.... we may do the same by 15 Sept.

Dear All,
I am a newbie here so would require your help. Me and my wife both are MDS and doing Private Practice since past 3 yrs. Now we are planning to migrate to canada. However I have a number of queries and would be highly greatful if someone could answer them. Especially who has already applied and is sure of their application correctness.

1)  Is paid internship after the 4th yr BDS counted as Work Exp . Or part of Education ??

2) Do we need to get sealed transcripts of marks from the college or would just notarized copy of mark sheet do?
 
3)Is class 10th certificate mandatory to show ? or the birth certificate for dob will be enough.

4) can we add work exp, like 10 months in one place and 14 months in another place , would it make 2 years of experience

5)Can the bank statements of both the principal applicant and spouse be clubbed together or proof of funds should be only of the principal applicant.

6)Is Police clearance and travel history required for both the PA and Spouse or only PA

7) If DOB in class 10th certificate is different from the DOB in all other documents like Birth Certificate , Passport , Marriage Certificate , will it cause a problem ? if yes will an explanatory note of the mistake being made from the parents side be good enough?

I would be highly obliged if someone who has experience in the application process can answer these questions.

10th certificate is not required. As per canada post secondry means education after 12th

Welcome to the thread. Please see the answers as per your Sl #

(1) It will be part of education...called as (4+1).... without Internship one will not get their degree certificate
(2) Yes... Original transcripts in University sealed covers...... Will get this from your university... you have to approach them with the required documents and fee... it's actually quite an easy process.
(3) You are lucky having a DoB certificate...... they are not accepting 10th class certificate..not even PP for birth proof.
(4) It will be considered provided both were full time (minimum 37.5 hrs per week) .
(5) Can be either PA or spouse ...... No problem.... but no joint a/c other than spouse
(6) Travel History required for both ...... PCC not required now....
(7) 10 class certificate not required..... so escaped with this hurdle.

Note - Just for your info ...You have to submit IELTS (GT) original certificate and original Experience / Reference letters from your present (& past) employers. Same implies to spouse also, if working.
