I think so...lets see Greetings to all of you and to you Dr. Hasib, Were you able to receive your AOR already?? Or do you have any communication from your VO?? Does the strike of Canada post affects our file transfer from CIO to the respective VOs? Well, of course it is very unusual to wait more than 3 weeks after the PER without changing the ecas to RBVO. Thank you for your time. Capricorn

yes, i got my PER from CIO and 2nd AOR from VO...got "in process" on 30 march...waiting for my MR Dear Dr. Hasib, Ohhh, what keeps them the delay of sending your MR??? Well, maybe the answer is the very slow mail on a regular mailing process from your VO to your residence. Some applicants who are waiting for MR is sending email for inquiry. You can do the same. Best regards, Capricorn

Hello to all NOC 3113 and most especially Dr. Hasib,
How are you??? I hope this thread will not get in the bottom list. We will be needing everyone's help may it be in Canada or better yet while preparing documents. We should have a strong support group on how we can start to review, land on a progressive area in Canada and soon to practice our profession.
Maybe others are busy most especially when they're on the process of Medical Exams. I would like to suggest that we have to visit this site every now and then. Exchange timelines, and experieces may it bad or good for others may learn through our mistakes.....
Calling Dr. Hasib and seniors of this thread, keep the fire burning in our hearts. God bless everyone.

I dont see any success story of any dentists in this forum - I see only people trying for a visa or working towards IELTS, NDEB, etc., If anyone has successfully got in to any completion program - can you share your struggle please? It would give us a more realistic picture.
1. Does Alberta have any college offering the 2 year completion program for foreign trained dentists? I see someone mentioning the same and also saying it is expensive?
2. Can someone share the list of colleges offering the same? I could google and find only two colleges in Canada.
3. Is there any possibility to get a seat in the completion program in USA?
4. Also, even if we clear the ACFD exam - is there a possibility to obtain a seat for the 2 yr program? - do anyone know the real situation if they really ask for 80% or more in ACFD just the filter out the no. of applicants?
Any other useful perspective and real info. from some EXPERTS on this whole foreign trained dentists episode are most welcome.
Thank you

Birth certificate is must however, i heard NDVO may accept 10th certificate instead of BC following docs are needed to prove relation between your Uncle and your mother: 1. Notarized Birth certificates (must) of both your uncle & you mother showing same parents name 2.photocopy of his Record of Landing (IMM 1000), Confirmation of Permanent Residence or Permanent Resident Card. 3. IF he is a citizen then proof of Canadian citizenship, such as a photocopy of pages of a Canadian passport or Canadian citizenship card 4.Additional docs to prove that your uncle is currently living in canada: you can submit either his income tax/electric bill/bank statement etc. regards, Dr.Hasib

very good question gopikolli.. "Dental assistant" could be the best occupation initially, for overseas dentists like us. Good news is this occupation "Dental Assistant" is non regulated in Ontario province (Mississauga, Oshawa, Toronto, Vaughan regions) on the other hand This occupation is regulated in the following Provinces and/or Territories:Alberta British Columbia Manitoba New Brunswick Newfoundland and Labrador Nova Scotia Nunavut Prince Edward Island Saskatch source: http://www.workingincanada.gc.ca/report-eng.do?area=9219&lang=en&noc=3411&province=35&keyword=Dentist&action=final&display=regulatedregards, Dr.Hasib

To all dentists and Dr. Hasib, I think we all should start discussing about plans & strategy to approach for Canadian dental accredation exams. Its better to start this now so that we are well prepared.
By-the-way my status is still RBVO since 2nd June'11... the VO is NDVO.

Dr Hasib, Kayal and all fellow Dentists, looks like this thread is gearing up for good discussion. I am also curious to find out the questions raised by Kayal. Also BTW Kayal, University of Alberta offers 2 years compeletion program. and for the reference of otheres, here is the flow chart of process: http://www.ndeb.ca/en/non_accredited/non_accredited_graduates.html Also, I have asked one of my friend in Canada to find more information about this but he is from IT background so it might take a while but I will keep you guys posted. Anyone wants to add more? Regards, -spyder

Very truthful..and I would like to add something with regards to working as a dental assistant, one has to be HARP (Healing Arts Radiation Protection Commission) certified, meaning that you have to be licensed to practice radiography as a dental assistant. You can get that certificate by submitting your radiography curriculum from your dental school in addition to your dental school transcript and degree certificate to their address: 5700 Yonge Street, 3rd Floor North York, Ontario M2M 4K5 Canada
