Hi Friends,

I am also planning to apply under 3113 very soon. I am confused when to apply.
To get 67 points need 3 yrs of work exp (Age:10; IELTS:14; Education:20; Spouse:5) Total= 49
I need 19 points for Work Exp, unfortunately I have only 2 yrs and 9 months work Exp and that gives me only 17 points.
So I am stuck.
Should I wait for 3 months and then apply or can I apply after 2 months because its takes about 1 month to process the application.

Please advise

you have 2 options:
Option A: Sit for GT IELTS again and manage full 16 points
Option B: wait for 3 more months. please note that, if u apply after 2 months you will get rejected since after 2 months your total point is less than 67.
I had similar situation like yours. I  had to wait exact 3 months and i applied when my total work exp was 4 years and 7 days Cheesy
got my visa last month  Grin

good luck

Hello Doctors

We just got our PER today (Nov/9). Exactly 3 months upon receipt of our package.

Hmmm, background checking is next right?

I'm soooo happy I could sing all the happy songs  all day.

Hello colleagues,
I feel so ashamed to ask this, because i thought I knew it all along, but I think I got it all confused.
Please how many points do I get for Education(Factor 1):  6 years of primary school + 6 years of high school + 6years of University + 3months certificate course in computer programming.....

My course, Dentistry, is a 6year course in my country, but I spent about 7years in school(april 1998 to March 2005).....does this count as & years in University?

If I score Moderate proficiency( Factor 2) in English, how many points do I get?

Thank you Embarrassed

how much point u need from ielts?

From what I see, I think I need the maximum score........i believe that's 16, although i saw somewhere that the maximum can be 24 points, is this info correct?

Education: 20points
Language:  ??
Experience: I've worked as a dentist for 4years, 11 months
Age:           I am 32years old
Arranged employment:   None
Adaptability:   No family in Canada, but my spouse has 6years primary school + 6years secondary school + 5 years University(Engineering) + 12months diploma in management( I think I can claim 3 or 5 points here, not sure)

From this, what do you think I need in IELTS....not sure...

Thanks

you need 12 points from IELTS (2 moderate+ 2 advance)
you will get 5 points from your spouse education
Highest point from IELTS is 16..if u want 24 then need to sit for french language test as well

Thanks for the response Dr. Hasib.
Since I joined in the middle of the month in my current job so should I count the 15 days or not ?
I need to wait till January end and then ask my current employer to give me an experience certificate at that time.
will have to keep my fingers crossed and hope that the Quota does not get over by at least Feb end.

yes u can count 15 days.
but i think waiting till end of Jan is too risky. already 256 applicants applied under 3113. so you should sit for IELTS one more time.
