Hello all,

This post is to find out if anyone else got this letter in the mail and what it means for the immigration process.
My husband and I returned from our two week long vacation to Niagara Falls ( Canadian side ) to find a letter addressed to my husband from CIC.
What does this mean for the overall process for me? And how close are we to me getting my Permanent Residency here in Quebec?
If anyone has gotten the same letter or knows more about this and would like to offer advice I would really appreciate it.

Thank you all and good luck to everyone.

I'm not familiar with the inland process, but I would assume it works the same way vis-a-vis Quebec acceptance as the outland process. Your file is probably far enough along at Vegreville that they have informed MICC in Quebec (as you and your spouse would reside there) and now MICC (Quebec immigration authorities) will get their shot at evaluating your sponsorship, so you need to go through their application: http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/fr/formulaires/formulaire-titre/demande-engagement/index.html.

Thank you all and good luck to everyone.

We got a letter that started with the same first sentence, which was its own paragraph. Then our second sentence/paragragh said:
"Nous avons le plaisir de vous informer que vous respectez les critères d'admissibilité comme répondant."

After that it went on to say they had sent a copy of our application to our visa office and that we needed to submit the other (Québec) application to the MICC.

This was our sponsorship approval letter from CIC Mississauga. The date on the bottom left corner makes it look like the letter was edited in June 08. Yours sounds like it starts about the same way. Perhaps it is a slightly more updated text saying about the same thing?

EDIT: I applied outland. The process is different for inland. I would go ask over on this thread for Quebec Inland people. Good luck!
