delay in visa stamping -5 months- New delhi

Hi friends,
         Our medicals was on december 2011 ,almost 170 days had completed.we had forwarded an enquiry to visaoffice-newdelhi on last month.The reply was "your e mail has been forwarded to the appropriate section for any necessary action.Till now they did not ask any requirements.we also forwarded another email to CHC on last week ,what will be the reason for delay in our case,
