Guys ! need your help here.. I had applied for Canadian immigration from London in 2006... I could not finish my MBA from London so the PG Dip was not considered for additional points. Now they are saying that the DU degree is counterfeit...

Please advice what should I do.

Onus to prove that it is genuine is on you, as suggested file academic transcripts under university sealed covers.

In case your university on your request can send to Visa Office the academic transcripts in sealed envelop directly that will be enough the discard all the allegations.

But do you know on what basis they would have found this not genuine although I had sent them the originals?

Sometimes their evaluation goes very wrong. Some silly thing might have clicked them.
So just try to contact your university in person or any of ur friend and request them to provide marksheet copies in university seal envelope.

Best of luck....

I cannot tell you how frustrating this is !!! I tried sending them the authorization from the University and that did not work very well from India...  as I was reluctant to ship my original degree and transcripts overseas. If after providing them with the originals, they cannot figure out if its genuine or not ...then i dont know if its worth immigrating to a country like that.

Thanks dear... but tell me on a serious note... how do they check the degree ? Do they have a centralized database... or do they have their contacts who do these verfications for them... or they just make their own decision?

Well, as per my experience, they just take their own decision. This is the reason, they ask for UNIVERSITY SEALED ENVELOPE. If they had a data base, why will they ask for university sealed transcripts?

So just try to get the transcripts in a sealed envelope, or else let the officer put a VERIFIED stamp on your transcripts.

Have patience, and please dont loose hope.

Best of luck...

Please share the contents of the communication received by you?  In which year did you complete your degree, which university and which degree you completed (which they are finding fault).

Degree is B.Sc. Delhi University, (1998-2001). I had sent them the Original Degree and 3rd year marskeet which contains marks of all 3 years.
