Dear all,
I was requested to send our passports with a list of other things, one of which is a decalsration letter declaring that I will have no financial oblogations upon our arrival to canada. Does anyone have a sample of this letter. Can you please provide me with a sample? I should send the requested now as I'm running out of time. Please advice me.
Thanks,

IMO, Their is no such defined format of letter. What  I think they want from the OP is to declare in a written statement that the OP will not need social assistance or any other form of help when the OP arrives in Canada. I may be wrong though.

I understand by saying that I will have no financial oblogations means in home country....you are free from debts...I may be wrong..usually Australia requests for it...

This is what I was thinking when I read it, too!  I did a Google to see if I could find ANYTHING related to CIC, but there was just one thing in the Quebec Guide (couldn't find it in the guide but that's what Google referred to so maybe it is in there somewhere!?)  It doesn't make sense that only one person would be expected to sign a declaration that they would not ask for support from the Government.  I think it really has to mean that all the money that one is bringing into the country is for their use to maintain themselves once arrived and that there is no other drain on their funds.
