I logged into ecas today and can see that a decision has made on my application to sponsor my Irish husband (WOOHOO). just wondering if i call the call center, will they be able to tell me what the decision is? or do I just have to wait for the letter?
thank you!

Fingers crossed. I'm sure it's the decision you want.
If you applied Outland, what date did London receive the application?

oh, this was just the application for me to be a sponsor that has been decided. waiting for the letter from Mississauga that'll tell us whether or not Ive been approved and subsequently if our file will be sent to London. pretty quick turn around, Mississauga received our application on Sept 10th and made the decision on Oct 2nd!

Ohh then its more than likely you have been approved. Unless you are a serial killer wanted by all provinces in canada, you'll be fine.
now the next step. Good luck!

Ok we are in the same boat here. Application received in Mississauga on Sept. 16th and decision made on October 6, 2009. It seem slike they started processing the application and made a decision on the same day. We did spend weeks on it and I know it was done correctly and complete. We can only see it on the website do not really any information.
So yours was decision made on Oct. 2nd, did you get the letter in the mail yet. We are just holding our breath. When they make the decision this fast is it usually good news. I am a canandian citizen so there is no doubt there. Yikes just really nervous. No reason to be as we fit all the criteria but just some how I always think the worst and worry.

I am somewhat in the same boat here. I am assuming 'decision made' was done on 10/9 for me. I am in the US but because of some extra circumstances my Canadian Wife and I are using a lawyer in Canada, so the letter will be sent to the lawyer. I am hoping to hear about the hopeful letter soon, but with Canada Post...who knows...

For the first part of the application (the sponsorship application, processed in Mississauga), you can call the call center and they will tell you what the decision was - if the sponsorship was approved or not. After the application is sent to the visa office, the call center doesn't have any more information on it than you do.
