Thank you very much for your reply, i tried in below website with my file number, but it says my file number incorrect. i received my file number with 7 digits may be it requires the file number with 9 digits  -https:--services3.cic.gc.ca-ecas-authenticate.do?app=ecas It's actually the UCI (unique client identification) number that you need to use to check your application status, not the file number. It's 8 digits. |

I did sponser my wife .she is living in India and m in Canada.file recived dec 20,2011,medical has already recived, she has sent her passport to ammbancy 13 feb 2012.plz tell me if u know how long time we will have to wait for visa?

I don't know the timeline for India after the embassy receives your spouses passport but if it's already been three months since it's been sent, then I imagine that it wouldn't be too much longer. If it's past the average processing time, then you can call them to find out your application's status. |

hi Actually one cant say exactly what time but still you are within time frame of 6 months. Even i have a similar timeline of yours. you can follow the below mentioned thread for New Delhi applicants. Aren't you from a visa-exempt country? Applicants from visa-exempt countries need not send their passports. They will receive COPR in the mail instead. |

Hello, I am sponsoring my spouse from outside Canada. This is my timeline: - medical done on 07 November 2011 - Mississauga received our file on 16 December 2011 - sponsorship approval on 08 February 2012 and file send to VO Bucharest. So until 03 May 2012 nothing on my ecas only "we received xxxxxxx application on 16 december 2012" ....then on 11 May 2012 On my file was " we received xxxxxxx application on 16 december 2012. Medical results received". So what about now? What is the next step and how long until we will get the request for the passport? Thank you |

Hey Guys, It's been a while since I have written in this thread- I'm usually hanging out in the official New Delhi thread. Anyway- just wanted to let you guys know that I got my "Decision Made" on May 7th  I will be moving to Canada at the end of June I got a call from the Visa Officer, for me to send a relative to pick up my passport along with my visa Since I'm not in India. I'm really excited to be with my husband and start this new chapter with him. Anyway- Thank you to the user that started this thread... and I wish you all the best of luck. If you have any questions- I would be glad to answer them. Other than that, take care guys- be patient- and do not worry, you all will be with your spouse, other family member quick! |

hi everyone ..i am alveen ..right now in toronto, canada ..i have PR...my wife is in india ..i have appllied for spouse sponsprship since 28 dec 2011..my issue is i have just got one email from cic about receving my file on 28 dec 2011...and after that nothing from cic till date..i am curious now..bz as it says 90days for step 1..my process already went above 150days..i called call center but they are like we are verifying your file...so
1. what you guys suggest me to do....
2 .if i want to call my wife from india while process is on..can i call her here..and if i can call her on what basis should i call her..
plz i need real help.
