Well srinivas, it is very rare that you will receive am acknowledgement letter or email. CIC generally does not issue acknowledgement letter. Most probably you will recieve an email once your case has been approved. I applied in begining of november and i am still waiting for any kind of letter or email. Keeping my fingers crossed

Our application has been sent out to misissauga on Dec 30 . what do they actually do there? what do they check? Is there anyway I could find out whether  my representative has sent the Option C or not?

the CIC-Mississauga office they are the ones that check out to see if sponsor is accepted or not to be the sponsor and then if they accept it they send the application to the VO in the applicant's country to finish the visa process

Best of luck to everyone. I live in Canada and my husband is in Jamaica. We are so glad to have the application finally mailed and we're hoping for the best. So far, we are all applying for/from different countries..interested to see everyone's processing timelines.

I tried that before i got my letter and it doesn't work using the receipt tracking number on the CIC website but if your saying that ur have a receipt tracking number with a courier service you can check with ur courier service if it was delivered

They updated the times!  68 days working on applications received on Oct 26th

Is anyone in the December group interested in giving information about our status's so that a spreadsheet can be started?

I don't mind attempting it but can only start it and continue to update if everyone provides their information.

Private message me if you want to be included and provide me with as much info about your situation and I will put something together by the end of the weekend ( permitting I know what I'm doing lol)

I don't think there are too many of us so this shouldn't be too hard to control.

I have just seen in other threads where people mentioning (if not for everyone) about receiving emails from CIC about receipt of application. I dunno I am telling you what i just saw.... No Offense meant.

I meant that you should not get frustrated waiting for the receipt. It takes time, generally two months. I got my acknowledgement email yesterday after 2 months. I am still waiting for approval.

Hi, i am among the december applicant...my application got to mississauga on december 22/11, and i am sponsoring my husband-visa office accra, ghana.....my question is what is the difference between receipt of acknowledgement and sponsor approval? do you get both by mail or email? thank you as you reply....
