Yes really unfair.  We have been here for nearly 4 years and have bothed worked all the time, and have four children in Elementary School.  You'd think they'd want us wouldn't you?

Well, its a new week, so that's another 5 days of anxiety and stalking the post man!
ECAS Address still missing, no updates yet.

From what I have read on other posts, missing addresses MAY be good cause it may mean that they are working on your case.  Could mean absolutely nothing of course, those CIC people are a law unto themselves.

I did speak to our immigration lawyer today, and she did say that if there was a problem with our application, we would know because they have to give us a chance to answer any queries, and they can't just turn us down without exhausting all avenues.  She did say that if our VO is not very organised, they may have missed something like RCMP checks or something, and they might be still outstanding because they weren't asked for until late in the process and that may be holding things up.  Honestly we have both aged so much in this process.  Wonder if it is really worth the stress.........

Is your ECAS address missing too? In my case, I have no representative, just did it by myself.  Thank you for sharing, because we have the same timeline, it gives me an idea and hope.  Last nov 28, 2011 they asked me for police clearance certificate and the letter says they have completed the initial assessment on my file and expect no interview when they finalize my file. I have to submit that within 90 days, failure to submit could mean refusal to my application. So, I submitted my PCC to buffalo in Dec 12, 2011. Counting that 90 days will be on Feb 28, 2012. Hopefully there will be a good news very soon and no more delays.  Where r u from?

Mid Nov last year we were asked for up to date UK police checks and we sent them in.  Almost a month to the day later on 13 Dec we got a letter from CIC asking for the Right of Perm Residence fee and saying exactly the same as your letter, no interview, no further paper work required blah blah blah. We sent in our fee, they have had it since 15 Dec 2011 and we have heard nothing for nearly 9 weeks! Our lovely immigration lawyer seems to think that we just have an overworked VO, who may have forgotten to ask for the RCMP checks when he/she should have and that might be outstanding (usually takes 3 months to come back). Other than that, our file is probably just gathering dust somewhere.........nothing else we can do except wait until we reach the 15 month milestone, then we can start to query the delay again........

Really frustrating, but what can we do? for me waiting is not an issue anymore as long as we are not waiting for nothing and will have it very soon.  I just pray that buffalo will realize that.

ECAS address still missing since jan 27, 2012.  what's going on buffalo?

Just call your bank with the draft # and they should be able to tell you whether it has been cashed.  Not sure what the fact that CIC has cashed it actually means  Roll Eyes
