Hello seniors , will you clear me plz on the topic of infant's DD.

I made 80% DD and 20 % Cash for settlement fund. One of the A/C payee DD is drawn on My infant daughter's name.  I should like to ask whether the amount of DD of my daughter can easily be deposited to my own bank  A/C in Canada or separate A/C for my infant daughter should  open ? How can I be able to operate her A/c ??

Waiting for your response. BTW I'm moving AB , this week .

In order to avoid confusion, change the DD that is in your infant daughter's name to your name. I think there might be a problem in depositing DD which is in her name to your account.

I wish some bankers on this Forum might be able to throw some light n this issue...please!! Smiley Smiley

Unlikely a bank in Canada would accept it in an infants name.

The guardian or parents  of the infant will be authorized by the bank to operate the  account till the child become major as per the given date of birth.

Check  the rules of the concerned bank where the account will be opened.

The Parent or Guardian must agree to act as agent for the bank in satisfying its identity verification and anti-money laundering obligation and agree to provide all information and documents as may be required by the bank from time to time including consents for e-signatures and for electronic delivery of any documents necessary for the maintenance of the Account.
