"Permit to work?"

Dear sir
I am coming over at the end of October to be with my fiance and we are planning to get married. I am hoping to stay for six months my questions are

1) How do I go about getting a work permit?

2) Can I apply for an extenstion when the six months is near the end?

I would recommend that you review the Temporary Employment FAQ for all the details concerning obtaining an employment authorization.

You may apply for extension of visitor status or of other temporary status from within Canada.
