"Establishing a business/company in Canada"
 
   Mr. Cohen,
I had been working since last 2 years here in USA as a software developer and Development Team Leader, and I have prior foreign experience about 4 years. Recently I got laid off. I am thinking to come to Canada on visitor visa and establish a software consulting business there. If I establish a company in Canada, Can my company sponsor temporary working visa for me?
Or what do you suggest? I am thinking to file for PR, but it takes time, so I will do it latter. Sitting here in USA, and applying for Job in Canada through internet also, not so effective. That's why I have thought to open my own software business there in Canada.

   Once a company has been established, a job offer from such may be sufficient to allow you to obtain an employment authorization. The offer would have to meet a certain standard of credibility, however, to be eligible for exemption from validation requirements.

The act of setting up the Canadian company, as well, may require that an employment authorization or business visitor visa be obtained.
