"i want a working Visa"

I need to know how to get a working visa??

I am 27 and am currently in Canada on my Passport only, which does not allow me to work. I have Family here in Canada who are willing to sponsor me. Does anyone know where i should begin my application. I have tried the British Embassy, but have so far got nowhere fast?? Please Help
