"intended date of entry"

I would appreciate your help on the following:
I have a validated job offer and I am now preparing an application for temporary employment authorisation. Although my contract has an official start date, I have some flexibility about when to actually move to my workplace, because there is a vacation period now. I will have to finish some business in the UK before leaving and I cannot provide a definite date for entering Canada. Do I need to provide a definite date of entry in my application or will a range of dates or approximate date be enough?
Many thanks in advance

You will be expected to provide a date on which the position would start. You will then be granted a date by which you must enter Canada, although you are free to start actually working later if you wish.
