"Canadian PR, working in US"

I have obtained the Permanent Resident visa for Canada. I would be landing in Toronto by the end of May 2001. Currently, I have an offer from a US Company in New York for employment with a work(non-immigrant) visa. Should I obtain some documents/permissions from Immigration Canada? Regarding taxes, should I pay taxes to US or Canada or to both? I would greatly appreciate your reply, before I consider the US employment offer.

You do not require permission from Canada to take the position. If you wish to retain your status in Canada, you may seek a Returning Resident Permit. Under the circumstances, however, it is unlikely that it would be approved.
