"HELP: job found sooner than residency"

I am just starting to initiate my perm. residency application (with Mr. Cohen's help). In the mean time I have seen a job ad in my field (textiles) which I think I could end up getting. Is this too soon to find a job? Can I have a work permit processed along with filing for perm. residency which I still want to pursue?

It is never too soon to begin making contacts with prospective employers in Canada. If you do find a suitable position, then it is possible to seek an employment authorization while the PR application is pending. If validation of the job offer is required, however, you may find that the Canadian employers are reluctant to undergo the necessary process.
