"Switching from temporary work visa to immigrant"

   Hi,

If I start off with a temporary work visa with a
software company in BC - can I apply for an immigrant
visa whilst still working in BC ? Does the fact that
I already have a temporary work visa - expedite my
immigrant visa in any way?

Thanks

Gavin

Yes, you may apply for immigration while you are within Canada, but the case would have to be submitted to an office abroad. The fact that you are working in Canada may improve the likelihood of an interview waiver.
