"Pilot Project For Software Professionals"

I now understand from this forum that all I need under this scheme is a non-binding letter of job acceptance from a potential employer.
Can I obtain this whilst in Canada or do I have to secure this document before I arrive? Also once secured, what do I have to do with this letter to secure a tempory working visa?

Iam currenlty talking to Employment Agencies in Toronto and they are all asking if I have a work permit. What is the best way to put them right on this issue as they are my first port of call for aquiring work in Canada.

Regards

Richard

If your qualifications are otherwise sufficient, then a non-binding job offer can allow for issuance of an employment authorization under the Pilot Project.

If you are admitted as a visitor, then you may seek such an offer while within Canada. You would have to subsequently submit an application for employment authorization to a visa office outside of Canada, however.

If you are confident that you meet the requirements for eligibility for this program, then you may advise the recreuiters that you can obtain an employment authorization in as little as one day (the case would have to be examined to provide a more accurate estimate) with a non-binding offer in one of the eligible occupations.
