"can i work part time virtually abroad?"

   Dear Sirs,

Accoding to my job visa I limited to work at my current employer.
What if I do some part-time telephone consulting in my non-working time for the non-canadian company and get paid for this? Will this be considered law violation? Or if can I start e-business registered not in Canada territory?

Best regards,
Vasily

In theory, any work that you conduct in Canada is subject to the requirement of an employment authorization. There has, however, been a recent court ruling that stated that such an authorization may not be required in a case in which no Canadian employer exists, but where the work is conducted which within Canada.

If you start and work for a business that is not within Canada, you would not generally be considered to require an employment authorization.
