"Spouses position"

   Hello

If I accept a job in Canada on a temporary work visa. Will my long term partner (not married) be able to come. If so could she work. Could we then apply for permanent resident status whilst we were there?

Thanks.

Your partner may seek admission to Canada as a visitor for the duration of your employment authorization. If a spousal relationship can be documented, it is possible that she may be eligible for employment authorization under the spousal pilot project.

You may apply for permanent resident status at this time, but the application would have to be submitted outside of Canada.
