Wendy Member since 20-Jul-02 06-Nov-00, 04:33 PM (EST)   "Employment as a Company/Executive Secretary"      I'm from Sri Lanka and have just submitted my CV for assessment as a potential migrant into Canada. I have a close friend (who also happens to be a distant relative) who is now married, living & working in Canada as a Registered Nurse. Throughout my working career of the past 10 years I've been mainly a Secretary (with a wide experiential knowledge of computer/graphics). I've also had a few months' training as a volunteer nursing assistant in a charity hospital. Is there any chance, however bleak (!!) of gaining employment in Canada directly as a Secretary, or is it that Canadian residents are given preference in this field??
