   Is it possible to apply for a temporary work visa when in Canada or do you need to have it before you go?

   As a general rule, you are required to seek an employment authorization from outside of Canada prior to seeking admission to work. Exceptions may exist for those who were previously legally admitted to Canada as temporary residents in some cases.
