"Please Give Advice"

Right now I am a Visa student in UofA. I am hopng to complete my MSc in January although I still have student authorization and Visa till December 2003. Right now its very hard to get a job specially as an international student, so my question is after completing my graduate studies in January, can I apply for a temporary employment authorization without a job? I heard that Canada allows students to work for 1 year, but I am not sure wheather I need a job first to apply for it.

I have applied for PR and hoping to hear from Buffalo about my assessment result sometime in August/September 2003. So I need to stay in Canada till then. Can you please give me some advice how I can do it.

Many thanks for the nice website.......

If you can demonstrate a job offer which starts within 90 days of your Notice of Graduation, and which is relevant to the field of your studies, then you should be eligible for a one year non-renewable employment authorization.
