"Temping Jobs"
 
   My partner and I had planned to obtain temp work when we arrived in Canada. This is something that he had done when living in Australia a few years ago. Looking at your site it would appear that it is not that easy to obtain a visa without having an employer already lined up. How easy is this to do as you do not have a time scale once applying, can't attend and interview etc and also the position may not be kept open? Is proof from a temp agency guaranteeing that we will get work, enough? I would be really grateful for any advice that you might have to help us on our way.

   It would be very uncommon to be able to obtain an employment authorization for the type of work that you are referring to. The only exception may be if you are eligible for a Work Holiday Program. You should contact your closest Canadian Immigration office to determine availability and eligibility.
