"Declaration of funds upon arrival"

   Dear Sir,

I would like to know that if I declare that I will bring in a certain amount of funds into the country, do I need to show the total amount of funds upon arrival? What kind of proof if any do I need to show? Do I need to declare the source of funds? Can the funds be transferred at a later date?

Can I deposit the money in the bank in the form of cash?

Please advise.

Thanks

Vishal Gulhati

Documentary evidence of availability of settlement funds indicated in your application is required at the time of landing. A bank statement would typically suffice for such. A declaration of the source is not generally a requirement for the landing process, and the funds may be transferred later or deposited in the form of cash.
