Hi Sirish,

I know that as we speak there are Project Manager positions available with Primavera required in the Toronto, Ontario area (see www.monster.ca). Project Managers are always popular on the market and I don't doubt that someone with your background (9 years in PM) would be an asset. If you have strong communication and interpersonal skills and are able to demonstrate this then you should have relative ease in finding a job that suits you.

Thanks for your inquiry,

Harry

Harry,

I'm a Chemical Engineer 15-20 years experience. Are Project Manager positions available, however i have no Primavera experience. I know "MS Project" which is alo a planning tool, however not as sophisticated as Primavera.

IS it required to pass "PE" exams in Canada if Job Title is Project Manager ?

How long does it take to become a "PE"

regards

sunil

Hi Sunil,

I have not seen a huge demand for Chemical Engineer Project Managers but I can only go according to what I have seen in different sites and so on. However, good Project Managers are always in demand and I think that all your PM questions could be better answered through the following site: www.pmforum.org. This is an endless source of information to this profession and will certainly be able to give you info on requirements per geography.

Best of luck

Harry
